SHAH ALAM: Representative from Universiti Selangor (UNISEL), Hades.co is one of the top 10 shortlisted candidate competing for Varsity Entrepreneurship Skills and Talents (VEST) 2017 competition held on 15 Oct. at UKM, Bangi.
Hades.co, pitch their idea on an application called ‘Fix It’ at the last stage of the programme after 6 months of classes and workshop conducted by KPDNKK and PNS.
“Fix It is an application with the same concept as Uber, where people can order for a mechanic with just one click if their vehicle broke down and it also creates an opportunity for a mechanic to gain extra cash with their service,” said Muhammad Syafiq Bin Mohamad Salleh one of the Hades.co group member.
“Hades.co is a combination of Had (had) and Es (entrepreneur skills)” he added. The group consist of three diploma students from sports industry and one from business management.
“Being the only diploma students and the youngest competing against nine other students from different universities is a challenging yet memorable and unforgettable experience, it teaches us how to build a business and managing the company as well as turning an idea into reality” he ended
VEST 2017 was won by Universiti Teknologi Petronas candidate, with their application called ‘Solviepro’ bringing home RM25,000, followed by Universiti Putra Malaysia and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak along with the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism (MDTCC) Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin gave the award to the top three winners and certificate to all ten shortlisted candidates.
