The purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness about Road Safety among students and staff as well as to generate knowledge on a number of accidents that occurred among UNISEL students recently, said the MPP President Muhamad Iskandar Zulkarnain bin Lukman Lee.
According to Mr Sasikumar A/ L Sathasivam, the Director of Program and Project Implementation Division the crucial factor of the accident is the negligence attitude of the drivers.
The recent study by Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) shows that 82% of fatal road accidents happen because of the ignorant attitude.
He also said though there are lawful amendments to prevent the incident but if the driver chooses to neglect it, then the situation will further continue to worsen.
Mr Sasikumar also said that there are many monthly programs that conducted state by state as a measure to decrease the number of accidents that are proliferating.
The Road Safety Campaign associated with many other mini-activities such as forums by famous vlogger Aiman Azlan on sharing verdicts about accidental issues, flashmob, exhibition and much more.
On a final alerting note, late Muhammad Iqra bin Mohd Hairey a student Early Childhood Education Student from Unisel Bestari Jaya pass away due to a road accident.
